Men who are honoring Christ and serving our community.

Heavenly Father, when the winds of life are gale force, when the shaky ground of the world’s ways trembles, when other people’s free will causes complications or pain, in You I stand firm, for You are my refuge and my fortress.
Many men find themselves in a constant struggle, barely keeping their heads above the waterline. Life’s deep wounds and disappointments create emotional scars, which in turn fuel harmful behaviors. To numb the pain, we often turn to alcohol, drugs, pornography, sex, gambling, or an obsessive work ethic, all of which only deepen our sense of isolation. These choices wreak havoc on our families, marriages, careers, friendships, and ultimately derail the purpose God has for us.
The scriptures warn us about these pitfalls and offers a path, through Christ, that leads us to Truth, Peace, and Victory.

Heavenly Father, thank you for helping me to be courageous and tireless in my walk with You. Please give me an opportunity to serve You in the quest to help other men see Your Glory and put forth that knowledge in servitude of others. * Proverbs 2:3-8 † Ephesians 6:10-18 † Proverbs 27:17 *
No man fails on purpose. And yet, too many men are doing just that—even within the church—and the collateral damage is staggering. From the locker room to the board room, in all walks of life, men mask their pain and discouragement, unable to escape the questions boiling underneath, “Is this it”? “What am I missing”? “Why do I feel unfulfilled”? “What’s my purpose”?. No amount of worldly success or playground distractions calms that inner voice. What is at stake has eternal consequences. Jesus said “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds”.

This Sunday, unlike so many Sundays before, he musters up the courage to walk through the church doors. He might get a handshake or a greeting “welcome”, “good to see you”, “thanks for coming” or maybe not. He cautiously navigates his way to the worship center and finds a seat, back row for an easy escape. He stares forward, making no eye contact, for fear one of these crazy Christians are going to talk to him, find him out. The worship begins, hands raised and swaying to the music, a chorus verse is repeated five times in an effort to conjure up an emotional flock awakening.
Next, two lines of kids come down the center aisle dressed as angels, the Pastor blesses them and off they go to the youth area. The lesson begins, the Pastor says turn to Ephesians 6:3, Tom, an asphalt laborer, lawyer, salesman… looks bewildered with this foreign object in his lap, I give him the don’t worry about it wave off. He stairs forward, almost motionless, as he counts the minutes. The service ends in prayer, “go in peace”. He thanks me and off he goes, never to be heard from again. He used all the courage he had to walk through the door that Sunday, motivated by pain, isolation and emptiness, and left disappointed. That went well.
Most churches aren’t equipped to serve men. Let’s help fix it. Why don’t we offer a Ministry to Men experience? A place where men are comfortable being men, and a plan to help disciple men for entry into the body of Christ, the church.

Heavenly Father, Thank you for pouring your Wisdom, Discernment and Knowledge into me, as I daily read your words and seek you in prayer. I know, my example helps other men to be courageous, for the Kingdom and Your glory.
Every man that steps through our doors is part of the leadership team. Whether you hold a door for someone, unload a seniors grocery cart, or shovel a walkway. Or simply greet someone with a smile and hello.
Every man’s Godley mind-set makes a difference. Our growth as men comes Monday – Saturday, pursuing Gods word and putting into action how He leads our hearts. Serving one another, a cord of many is not easily broken.

I’d rather see a sermon, than hear one any day, I’d rather someone walk with me then merely tell the way, the eye’s a better pupil, more willing than the ear, fine counseling is confusing, but example’s always clear.

My name is Pride. I am a cheater.
I cheat you of your God-given destiny…because you demand your own way. I cheat you of contentment…because you “deserve better than this.”I cheat you of knowledge…because you already know it all.I cheat you of healing…because you are too full of you to forgive. I cheat you of holiness because you refuse to admit when you are wrong.I cheat you of vision…because you’d rather look in the mirror than out a window.I cheat you of genuine friendship… because nobody’s going to know the real you.
I cheat you of love… because real romance demands sacrifice.
I cheat you of greatness in heaven… because you refuse to wash another’s feet on earth. I cheat you of God’s glory… because I convinced you to seek your own. My name is Pride. I am a cheater.You like me because you think I’m always looking out for you. Untrue. I’m looking to make a fool of you.
God has so much for you, I admit, but don’t worry… If you stick with me, You’ll never know.
Proverbs 11:2
Be on your guard.
Stand firm in your faith.
Be men of courage.
Be strong.
Do everything in love.

Make your ear attentive to wisdom, Incline your heart to understanding;
3 For if you cry for discernment, Lift your voice for understanding;
4 If you seek her as silver And search for her as for hidden treasures;
5 Then you will discern the fear of the Lord And discover the knowledge of God.
“You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart”.
“I love those who love me, and those who seek me will find me”.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds”
Courage is a quality that is essential for believers and is characterized by a willingness to act in obedience to God’s purposes. It is not the absence of fear, but rather the ability to act in the face of fear. Biblical characteristics of courage:
Faith in God: Courage is fueled by faith in God’s promises and power. For example, David was able to face Goliath with courage because he trusted in God.
Connection with God: Courage is connected to God’s presence.
Embracing identity in Christ: Courage is a result of embracing one’s identity in Christ.
Following God: Courage is demonstrated by following God in the midst of fear.
The Bible often refers to courage as “good cheer”, which means boldness and confidence. God commands people to have courage and to be of good cheer, and in almost every instance, there is a reason to have courage that comes from God.
Integrity for a man means living a life of complete honesty, moral uprightness, and consistency between one’s public and private actions, essentially being the same person in every situation, always adhering to God’s standards, even when no one is watching; it’s about being truthful, reliable, and having strong moral principles, much like the example set by Jesus himself.
Trust means to believe in God’s reliability, strength, ability, and truth. It’s a practical consequence of faith, which is the gift of God. Trusting God means believing in His promises in all circumstances, even when the evidence seems to go against it.
Truth is a moral concept that is rooted in God’s character and is essential to true manhood. It is defined as:
– A completeness of moral integrity
– How one thinks and behaves
– God’s laws and instructions
– The self-expression of God
– The way things really are
– Knowledge of what is right in God’s sight
– A firm display of inner essence
Truth is revealed in social relations and responsibilities, and that it is acquired through teaching and the working of the Divine Spirit in a person’s life.
Forgiveness is the act of letting go of sin and animosity towards someone who has wronged you, and is a choice that can be made by anyone:
Forgiving is a choice
Jesus taught that forgiveness is a choice that people can make, and that God has forgiven us through Christ.
Forgiveness is a command
The Bible commands people to forgive others as they have been forgiven.
Forgiveness is a means to freedom
Forgiveness can free people from the emotional, physical, and spiritual damage of holding grudges.
Forgiveness is not forgetting
Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting the damage of the hurt, but rather letting go of resentment and anger.
Forgiveness can spark transformation
Forgiveness can spark transformation in the heart of the person who forgives, but it may not in the person who was wronged.
Love is defined as a selfless, unconditional, and sacrificial commitment to the well-being of others. It’s a love that’s characterized by patience, kindness, humility, and forgiveness.
3 Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 So you will find favor and good success[a]
in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
7 Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
8 It will be healing to your flesh[b]
and refreshment[c] to your bones.
The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
17 Iron sharpens iron,
and one man sharpens another.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
24 And the Lord’s servant[a] must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, 25 correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to deceive and devour. Be careful, It truly is a battle for man’s soul.
“Come follow me,” Jesus told them,“ and I will make you fishers of men.”
Jesus offers a captivating call, inviting them to “follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” He suggests their current activities are good, but there is a higher calling that can lead to true greatness. Jesus encourages them to impact lives, promising that if they bring Him the catch, they will witness transformed lives.
Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to deceive and devour. Be careful, It truly is a battle for man’s soul.
